We flew into Cabo during tropical storm Octave. The roads were flooded and there were rapids running down many of the steep side streets. That did not stop our friend Charlie from picking us up at the airport and bringing us back to their luxury beach side surf condo in San Jose del Cabo. We showed up just in time for a condo potluck. It felt just like a cruiser potluck on the beach, except we had real nice chairs. The next morning we had to go to Susy's for breakfast. A great little local spot with excellent, reasonably priced food.

In between torrential downpours, we managed to check out a few shops and art galleries.
The next day, Charlie was in the mood for a road trip. Luckily, his plans included dropping us off in La Paz at our boat! How nice!!! It is about a three hour drive, with added time for scenic stops and lunch. We stopped at one of the more famous surf beaches on the Pacific Ocean side of Baja. This place was just a bit south of Todos Santos, where we would stop for lunch.
We brought them to our favorite fish place in Todos Santos. Amazingly, it was a place that they have not been to, and we had a great seafood lunch before continuing on to La Paz.
Once we were back on the boat, the work began. Fixing, the toilet, the engine stop switch, the sail cover, and shopping for food to restock the boat. It felt good to be back on the boat again, even if it was an unlivable mess at the time. We did manage to dig out the bed after a few hours, and got a great sleep.
Working on the engine stop switch. Engine starts fine, just won't stop!
Where are you guys now? We just emailed Rick & Marilyn and Robert & Virginia to put out an APB for Bella Brisa on the coconut telegraph.
